Old Cheney. It's a Hussie Gig, so of course, it was
bitterly cold and snowy, but that didn't stop the
hardy souls who ventured out in search of a "hot
time in the old town". Honest, we don't attract the
snow, it just seems that way! Thanks to all of you
who came out to share a fun evening, and start off
2010 with a song or two. |

We are not booking further in
January or February 2010,
because of special work assignments in our day jobs
which will take most of our time,
and Barb is getting married on February 2nd!

Old Cheney - Warm weather brings folks out, and we had a
super crowd! It was a great way to kick off March
with a few St. Pat's songs, some new ones, and of
course some old fav's, including sing-a-longs. We're
thrilled to have B & J as our South Lincoln "home"!

and Adams) Our St. Pat's Day gig was just a total
success last year. And we can't wait to show you
what we have in store for this year. Mark your
calendars for the Friday before St. Patrick's Day.
We guarantee to get you in the mood for the Wearin'
of the Green!
Deer Springs had
their computer hacked into in December and in recreating the
info,
they put the wrong date down. We didn't discover this till we
saw the paper Friday morning.
We love playing there and want to help out, so we switched to
Saturday.
Woooo Hoooo! This was huge fun! At 5
pm, there were already two large groups of people there
enjoying the wine, and the whole evening was a hoot!
Thanks to the folks who came down from Omaha, and all
the others who came to celebrate the weekend before St.
Pat's with song and wine! |

NOT the Hussies, but this is a GREAT
gig and we encourage you to attend. Our friend,
Irishman, Máirtín de Cógáin and his buddy Jimmy
Crowley have a group called Captain Mackey's Goatskin
and String Band. They'll be playing in Lincoln for
the Lincoln Irish Dancers Spring Ceili. Come on out and
give a listen, and even dance if you like. They are
totally worth it!!!

Don and I attended this as "music lovers", not
dancers, and we were in awe of all the folks who came
out to dance and enjoy the great music of Captain
Mackey's! It was great fun! Hope they can come to
Lincoln for a concert some time! |

Party. This was awesome! We actually started playing
about 15 minutes early and the great dining room area
was just full! Folks were singing along and clapping to
the songs, and a good time was had by all! We had a
ball, too! Hope to see you again later in the year! |

love our relationship with the Legacy group and each
residence has its own personality. This one is the one
with the pool league after dinner and then they come
hear us, ready for the Hussies. As always, it was super! |

well as their great food. So come enjoy both, along
with some great music and fun! A wonderful
Friday eve filled with friends, music and fun! Thank you
ALL for coming out to fill Mo Java! It was a little bit
of a wacky evening, but totally fun. One of the best
we've had here in the past 6 years, and that's saying a
lot. Thanks so much! |

Cedarwood Assisted Living - This was a
special program for residents and their guests,
celebrating May Day and Mother's Day. The room was
filled with happy folks and we kept them laughing and
singing along. Barb even had a request for the Bo Pelini
song! We tried out our new sound system and the
consensus from the crowd was that it was GREAT! |

Fundraiser at Wilderness Ridge in Lincoln, NE.
Hussies will play at approx 7 pm for 30 minutes, as the bidding results
are being tabulated. Well, this was fun! There were
over 200 folks in attendance and we really had quite a
few of them who came up and told us how much they
enjoyed the music! And the cause was truly worthwhile!

Streets, Lincoln, NE. This will be our 3rd year here, and we're thrilled to be invited back.
The men serve the ladies, and it's such a nice group
and great fun! We feel like members of the
congregation, and it's so nice to see everyone again. As
always, the food was terrific, and the guys did a great
job helping prepare and serving the meal to all the
daughters, moms, grand moms, and great grand moms! We always
just love playing here! |

Old Cheney. What a wild night! It was a hoot. We had
a full house and they were ready for fun, which we
were able and happy to provide! Chicago coppersmith
& musician, Tom Ball, sat in with his jazz
harmonicas for Deb's song, "Relativity Blues", then
he left to play with CA Waller at Meadowlark, Barb
debuted her new song, "If It's Got a Scope On it",
about colonoscopies, and we even had a couple of
songs on the electronic bagpipes, as well a lots of
our more traditional songs. It was just delightful,
and our new sound system was a total hit! Thanks to
all who joined us! We'll see you back here in July! |

OHMYGOSH! What a great crowd. We just love playing at
Deer Springs and tonight was no exception! The crowd was
large and they loved our music and sang and laughed with
us the whole evening. Thanks to the birthday group for
the cake after the show, and thanks to EVERYONE who came
out to make this warm evening so much darned FUN! Most
of all, thanks to Jenn and the folks at DSW for hosting
these super evenings of live music. |

Private - Afternoon gig for a 50th anniversary in
Greenwood, NE. This was AWESOME!. The family of 11
kids and 23 grandkids threw this surprise 50th
anniversary party for their parents. And it worked. It
was a total surprise. We played outside in the country
and the weather was perfect. They even had their
honeymoon car, a '58 Mercury, all spiffed up and in
attendance. People came from far and wide, and the
anniversary couple even danced to our rendition of
"Tennessee Waltz". It was incredibly special to be a
part of that wonderful gathering of so much love! |
